Good ol’ regular, run of the mill, non-exclusive Safari, how long has it been?

These days, Mars doesn’t have much reason to step upon the Safari Zone’s well-travelled paths (if the pokémon are not shiny, why bother, right?) but with the warden deciding to stock-up on Eevee of all things, how could he pass on the chance to stop by a few times and stock up on those bad boys?

Even in the black market, Eevee enthusiasts always pay well for those.

Of course, he too has his own Eevee evolutions he loves, but you can bet that sure won’t stop him from wanting to make a profit.

The first pokémon they encounter is a bear, one that apparently has been lacking in Mars’ collection. Not because he particularly cares for Stufful (even though they’re admittedly kind of cute), but because if he’s going to have some bear pokémon species, he might as well aim to have them all.

Let’s just say there’s a stream in the Safari Zone, because there’s always this or that water type, so a stream makes sense. In this stream swims a school of Luvdisc, their heart-shaped bodies making for a nice sight as they move with the currents.

When the Espeon and Vaporeon approach the water’s edge, most of them disperse, but no before a PSYBEAM isolates one of them, making it rise from the water.

Happiny is the sort of pokémon Mars cares little for. One he’d usually only see wandering by the side of someone like luka chêne. Usually he’d have no particular reason to want one of those, but… eh… stonks?

And, there it is: the one thing he came here to find.

It’s not shiny, sure, but an Eevee is still an Eevee, and thus a nice reward that would probably go for a good price.
[break][break]
It even approaches the Espeon and Glaceon as if curious, but unlikely for it, the friendliness of its evolved forms is deceiving. The Glaceon acts as aloof as she usually is, and while the Espeon approaches and offers a temptative sniff, the moment the Eevee lowers its guard, it finds itself being hit by a PSYBEAM.

ICY WIND slows it down, making it unable to escape the Safari Ball that is soon thrown its way.
